Stud Services

While good females are the backbone of a breeding program, you can't forget about the boys. While some breeders love their girls we love our boys! That's why the majority of the dogs we have intact are males. 

We treat our stud contracts like many other poodle breeders. We require outside dogs to be up to date on brucellosis, hold all the required health clearances, and be a good match on their pedigree (and for poodles genetically through VGL).  We do NOT allow cross breedings for poodles, and in poodles accept merle lineage (which is also a mixed breed). We are open to discussing our dogs strengths and weaknesses and will be honest if we think a dog will be a good match or not. 

We develop contracts after careful discussion with the bitch owner. In general there are some things we require: 

-Recent brucellosis

-Healthy bitch, able to carry a litter, in overall good shape

-Must be of sound tempermant and handleable in cases of live cover 

-Must have a registered pedigree with AKC 

-Deposit must be placed before planning and travel 

-As a general rule, we only allow one puppy from your litter to be held back as a breeding prospect

We do our best to keep our boys up to date on health testing and on brucellosis but planning in advance for a litter is a must. We are available to travel, with fee, to most places. We also offer boarding for bitches if need be as well.
